 A 4x110m hurdles quartet featuring Tony

 Jarrett and Colin Jackson just missed  

 out on a world record in 54.50 seconds.

                                        

 Rob Denmark, Steve Cram, Neil Horsfield

 and John Mayock finished second for    

 Britain behind winners Italy in the
