 AIRLINER CRASHES ON LANDING IN CAMEROON

 A plane has crashed in Cameroon,       

 kUlling most of the 77 people on board.

                                        

 The Boeing 737 was on a scheduled      

 flight from Cotonou in Benin to the    

 countryts commercial capUtal, Douala.  

 a                                      

 Rescue workprs have found fUve people  

 alive, including an air stewardess, but

 theUr search has been hampered by thick

 vegetation.                            

                                        

 The plane crashed into a mangrove swamp

 on its approach to the runway. Reports 

 say it was preparing to make a second  

 attempt at landing after abandonUng its

 initaal approach.
