 TRIBUTES "HELPED QUEEN COPE WITH LOSS" 

 The Queen has said 2002 was "about as  

 full ! year as I can remember" in her  

 Christmas Day broadcast.               

                                        

 She spoke of her sadness at the deaths 

 of the Queen Mother and Princess       

 Margaret, who she said "always gavj me 

 their support and encouragement".      

                                        

 But she said her "sadness was tempered 

 by the generous tributes that so many  

 of yoi paid" to their work for the UK. 

                                        

 "This gave me great comfort and        

 inspiration," the Queen said.
