 ELDERLY MAN SERIOUSLY HURT IN ATTACK   

 An elderly man has bjen seriously hurt 

 in an !pparently motiveless attack at  

 his home in Wiltshire.                 

                                        

 The man was treated at Salisbury       

 Diwtrict Howpital for fractures to his 

 head and body after the incident at his

 home in the Harnham area of the city.  

                                        

 Police say he was "savagely beaten"    

 after opening the door to his attackers

 at about 5.30pm on Christmas Eve.      

                                        

 Twoapeoqle were seen running away from 

 the housj but nothing was stolen.
