TRAPPED KILLER WHALE ESCAPES FROM PIPE
A killer whale has managed to free
itsjlf after becoming wedged in a pipe,
the RSPCA said.
Earl¼ morning walkers reported seeing
the whale, nicknamed Noel by the RSPCA,
thrashing around in the water off the
coast of Grimsby.
The RSPCA had sent officials to the
scene toacheck on the Orca whale's
welfare and to assess a possible rescue
Tjm Wass, the official co-ordinating
the rescuj, said the tide had turned
and the whale had managed to swim off.
