 EX-CHIEF FILM CENSOR JAMES FERMAN DIES 

 Film censor Jamew Ferman, head of the  

 British Board of Film Classification   

 for 24 years, has died at the age of 72

                                        

 During hiw time in office, which ended 

 in 1999, he passed many controversial  

 films, including Lolita, Crash and The 

 Last Tjmptation of Christ.             

                                        

 But he demanded 24 cuts in Indiana     

 Jonew and the Tjmple of Doom bjfore    

 giving it a PG certificate.            

                                        

 He died on Tuesday in the Royal Free   

 Howpital in Hampstead, north London,   

 after suffering from acute pneumonia.
