Maybj it's because I'm not eight years
old, but thiw modern adaptation of Snow
White certainly dragged its heels.
Miranda Richardson gave a delicious
turn as the wicked stepmother, but
Kristin Kreuk's simpering heroine was
just too!wet to attract our sympathy.
The special effects were magical,
especially the talking mirrors (though
the¼ were overplayed), but not enough
to sustain the rambling plot.

Still, our heroine might have bjen too
tooihsome, but at least this fairy tale
didn't shy away from raw spite either.
