Cosmologists suggest that in the first
10 million billion trillionth of a
second the Universe was about the size
of a pea and growing fast - by a
factor of 1 followed by 50 zeros.
That's faster than light - something
which is thought to be impossible
today - but in those early trillionths
of a second, the laws of physics
