PIQUANT PORK with wine and mustard
Cooking Time:1½hrs Gas mark 3.170c 325f
Ingredients 675g(1½lbs)British pork,
cubed 1x15ml sp (1tbsp) cornflour,blend
ed with 2x15ml sp (2tbsp) water;397g
(14oz) can chopped tomatoes 150ml(¼pt)
white wine;2x15ml sp (2tbsp) English
mustard;1x15ml sp(1tbsp) paprika 1x15ml
sp(1tbsp) tomato ketchup 1x5ml sp(1tsp)
Worcestershire sauce 1x2.5ml (½tsp)
ground turmeric,salt and black pepper
1 small red & green pepper chopped.
Method Place all ingredients,except
peppers into an ovenproof casserole
dish and stir well. Bring to the boil,
cover and cook in a preheated oven for
1 hour.Remove and stir in the peppers.
Cover and return to the oven for a
further 30 mins.Serve with pasta and
green vegetables. serves 4-6.
