PARTICULATELY CLEAN
Most privatised bus companies want to
keep costs down, says the Environmental
Transport Association. It doesn't see
them spending £3,500 on a CRT filter.
"The filter sounds a good idea but
it should be enforced through
legislation and fitted from
manufacture," says a spokesman.
Bus companies should receive some
incentive to fit the filters, says the
National Society for Clean Air.
