month. Prophet Moses (Alahis
salaam) received the 'Torah' on the
sixth; Eesa (the prophet Jesus)
(alayhis salaam) received the
'injeel' (The Bible) on the twelfth
or thirteenth. From this, we note
the close connection between the
Divine Scriptures and the month of
Ramadhan. For this reason, as much
'Tilaawat' of the Qur'aan should be
done as possible during this month;
such was the habit of our saints.
'Jibra'il (Alayhis salaams) used to
recite the whole Qur'aan to our
prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) in the
month of Ramadham.
