 PART-TIME CLASSES THREAT               

                                        

 A teachers' leader says children may be

 be sent home from school "on a rota    

 basis" in protest against rising class 

 sizes.                                 

                                        

 Nigel de Gruchy, of the National       

 Association of Schoolmasters/Union of  

 Women teachers was responding to the   

 announcement of a 2.7% pay award.      

                                        

 Local authorities say larger classes   

 are inevitable as they do not have the 

 money to meet the teachers' pay rise.
