 This covers the production, marketing  

 and distribution of food crops, plants 

 for leisure and all the associated     

 supplies of chemicals and machinery.   

                                        

 An HND in Horticulture can lead to a   

 career in management of a garden centre

 specialising as a plant buyer or as an 

 amenity horticulturalist who maintains 

 and plans public gardens and parks.    

                                        

 A broader science degree followed by an

 MSc or PhD in a specialised area opens 

 up career prospects in research areas
