 Veterinary surgeons can care for farm  

 livestock as well as pets. Vets in the 

 state Veterinary Service are           

 Investigation Officers and Field       

 Officers who control disease.          

                                        

 To qualify as a veterinary surgeon,    

 five to six years study are required,  

 but other careers such as veterinary   

 nurse require less qualifications.     

                                        

 RSPCA Field Officers need no specific  

 qualifications and with training you   

 can progress to Animal Welfare
