 PAY £1 OR MISS GETS THE SACK           

                                        

 Parents at a Northants primary school  

 have been asked to pay £1 a week per   

 child or see a teacher made redundant. 

                                        

 Governors at Welford and Sulby Endowed 

 School say they cannot cover a £7,500  

 budget shortfall unless parents make   

 regular voluntary donations.           

                                        

 Head teacher Russ Jones said early     

 signs were encouraging: "Most parents  

 have indicated they would be willing to

 help out financially."
