 WARM WEATHER HITS CALOR PROFITS        

                                        

 Gas group Calor was by unusually mild  

 weather during 1994 and reported a     

 £2.7m downturn in profits to £48.8m.   

                                        

 In the second half of last year, gas   

 sales were down by 11% with the        

 cylinder business being particularly   

 adversely affected, said Calor.        

                                        

 Over the year as a whole gas sales were

 down by 3% and Calor said data showed  

 the UK was 8% warmer in 1994 than 1993.
