 LASER WORKSHOP                         

                                        

 Some 120 people attended the LASER     

 Spring workshop on cochlear implants   

 last week in Leeds.                    

                                        

 Speakers told the audience about the   

 latest developments and research. One  

 said hearing people did not understand 

 what deafness was like and vice versa. 

                                        

 LASER Vice-Chair Maureen Wood says: "It

 went well, but as usual the day went   

 too fast. We all would have liked more 

 time to discuss this topic."
