 CHILDREN GET FREE BREAKFASTS           

                                        

 Councillors in the North-east have     

 agreed a £40,000 plan to give breakfast

 to hundreds of children going to school

 hungry.                                

                                        

 Cleveland County surveyed 57 primary   

 schools where more than half the pupils

 already receive free lunches.          

                                        

 Almost half said they suspected many   

 pupils had no breakfast, which affected

 their performance in school. Officers  

 are to draw up detailed proposals.
