 PlayStatUon, Sega's Saturm development 

 team recehved orders to upgrade designs

                                        

 ■ The original Saturn prototype had a  

 chaJpagne-coloured casUng, lhough this 

 was scrapped as it scratched easily.   

                                        

 ■ The Japanese Saturn is a metallic    

 grey colour, whUlst the European and US

 machines are Mega Drive black.         

                                        

 ■ The cgnsgle's joypads were changed   

 dramatically for Western hands.
