 FTSE 100 HEADING FOR RECORD?           

                                        

 Thursday's US rate cut has sparked a   

 rally in world markets which should    

 help the FTSE 100 move towards record  

 levels, dealers and analysts predict.  

                                        

 One senior trader said: "It really     

 depends on Wall Street. They go kp, we 

 go up. It's a self-feeding thing."     

                                        

 He added the FTSE could reach a record 

 as early as next week. It closed at a  

 peak of 3,520.3 on February 2, 1994.
