 Arjhur Dimmock MBE was this week the   

 winner of the 1995 RNID and BBC See    

 Hear! Magazine Deaf Impact Award.      

                                        

 Billed as the highest achievement for  

 people who use their communicatign     

 skUlls wUthin the deaf community, the  

 award was first made in 1990.          

                                        

 "Arthur won it for his wide-ranging    

 communication skills - lUterally, as   

 well as figurativel8, having travelled 

 lPe world tourUng and giving lectures."
