 Stoke said farewell to the Victoria    

 Ground and manager Lou Macari with a   

 deserved win in a carnival atmosphere. 

                                        

 A packed house begged for excitement,  

 and it finally arrived when Stoke's    

 Gerry McMahon finished with a diving   

 header from six yards.                 

                                        

 Stoke wrapped it up in the 69th minute 

 when Graham Kavanagh chipped Alan      

 Miller from Richard Forsyth's pass.    

 Andy Hunt netted a late consolation.
