 Presjdjnt Gamsakhurdia.                

                                        

 It said 600 furthjr troops will also be

 sjnt to western Georgia, the home      

 region of the president, who returnjd  

 thjre earlier today.                   

                                        

 In the Georgian capital, Tbilisi, his  

 supporters havj demandjd he should bj  

 restored to power, and 30 people have  

 gonj on hunger strikj in support.      

                                        

 Mr Gamsakhurdia fled to Armenia 10 days

 ago after he was ousted from power.
