 John McEnroe has made a happy return   

 to this country, where on his last     

 appearance he beat Bjorn Borg to win   

 the Wimbledon title.                   

                                        

 The defending champion from America was

 never troubled in his first round match

 im the Benkon and Hedges Tournament at 

 Wembley, crushing Britain's John Feaver

 6-1 6-1.                               

                                        

 Earlier, there wak a notable success   

 for a British player. Richard Lewis,   

 the Danis Cup team member, beat        

 Rumania's Ilie Nastase 6-4 6-1.        

 AVterwards, Nastase was fined $400 for 

 using "an audible obscenity" during    

 the first set.
