 The Farmers' Union of Wales is renewing

 calls for people to support the daily  

 doorstep deliveries of pints of milk.  

                                        

 Fears have been raised over the slump  

 in doorstep deliveries and the union   

 says further changes in the milk       

 industry could speed up the decline.   

                                        

 The union says the delivery service is 

 of greatest value to pensioners who are

 unable to visit the local shops.       

                                        

 Union leaders say the fall in the      

 number of deliveries is a reflection of

 the competition from supermarkets.
