 DIARY OF VJ DAY COMMEMORATIVE EVENTS   

 The official events taking place over  

 this weekend have the themes of        

 thanksgiving and celebration.          

                                        

 Sunday 20 August                       

                                        

 Church services throughout the country 

 followed by a peal of bells will       

 commence the final day of commemoration

                                        

 Official services will be held in      

 Edinburgh, Cardiff and Belfast.        

                                        

 The official commemorations will       

 conclude with Beating the Retreat and  

 sunset ceremonies in London, Edinburgh,

 Cardiff and Belfast.
