 Pride Of Pendle booked her place in the

 Doncaster semi-final of the Rothmans   

 Royals North-South Challenge Series    

 when taking the Chester qualifier.     

                                        

 Alex Greaves partnered the mare for her

 trainer/husband David (Dandy) Nicholls 

 and she urged the 6yo up the stands    

 rails inside the last for a ½L win.    

                                        

 A delighted but somewhat surprised     

 Nicholls said: "That really was an     

 unbelievable performance to win from   

 out there where she was drawn (13).    

                                        

 "She will probably run again in ten    

 days time but the main target is next  

 month's race at Doncaster."
