 RAITH ROVERS 2-1 ARBROATH              

 Cup holders Raith needed two penalties 

 to overcome Arbroath before claiming   

 their place in the third round.        

                                        

 Rovers failed to take charge early on  

 despite going ahead in the tenth minute

 when David Kirkwood fired home their   

 first spot-kick.                       

                                        

 Tony Rougier missed two chances to     

 double the lead and paid when Stephen  

 McCormick converted another penalty to 

 equalise for thj Red Lichties.         

                                        

 Rovers finally took command after the  

 break and Kirkwood sealed victory from 

 the spot after a foul on Jason Dair.
