 PERU The air force says it has shot    

 down a plane suspected of carrying     

 drugs close to the Brazilian border    

 after it refused to land. It is said to

 be the 41st shot down in recent months.

                                        

 IRAQ has given new information on its  

 ballistic missile programme, Rolf      

 Ekeus, head of the UN Commission

 AFGHANISTAN More than 250 Afghan       

 villagers have died in a suspected
