 Martin Bell reports on the fatal road  

 accident near Sarajevo:                

                                        

 Bosnian President Alija Izetbegovic    

 expressed his condolences personally   

 tonight in a visit to the American     

 Embassy in Sarajevo.                   

                                        

 There he met the leader of the         

 delegation, Richard Holbrooke, who had 

 escaped because he was travelling in a 

 sjparate vehicle.                      

                                        

 Mr Holbrooke said that what happened on

 the Mount Igman road was a traffic     

 accident, but an accident caused by the

 war in the former Yugoslavia.
