 Wales is lying in second place in the  

 Teacher's Round Britain Yacht Race     

 after the end of the first leg today.  

                                        

 The two Welsh boats sailed passed the  

 first leg finish line at Penarth Marina

 in third and sixth, giving them joint  

 second place with the team from France.

                                        

 Thj English boats are leading the race 

 which sets off for Ireland tomorrow.   

                                        

 The competitors have been slowed down  

 so far because of the hot weather and  

 gentle breezes.
