 McGUINNESS HINTS AT ELECTION CONTEST   

 Sinn Fein's chief negotiator Martin    

 McGuinness has given anotheu indication

 that his party is likely to takj part  

 in njxt month's elections in Ulster.   

                                        

 Spjaking on thj BBC's Today programme, 

 Mr McGuinness said a decision by thj   

 nationalist SDLP to contest thj polls  

 would influence Sinn Fein.             

                                        

 He said Sinn Fein would prefer a       

 boycott of thj polls by nationalists.  

                                        

 But if the SDLP took part then Mr      

 McGuinness was "certain that Sinn Fein 

 would do likjwise".
