 CHRISTMAS BABY ABANDONED IN BUSHES     

 A baby girl thought to have been born  

 on Christmas Day has been found        

 abandoned in bushes.                   

                                        

 Papjrboy Darren Simms, 13, heard cries 

 and discovered the child wrapped in a  

 bundle of sheets at Whickham, Newcastle

                                        

 Thj infant was taken to Gateshead's    

 Queen Elizabeth Hospital suffering from

 thj effects of cold.                   

                                        

 Police are checking homes on a njarby  

 estate and have appjaled for the mother

 to contact them.
