RANGOON BOMB BLASTS CLAIM FOUR LIVES
Four people have been killed and 18
injured in two bomb explosions at a
religious shrine in Burma.
A large number of pilgrims had gathered
at Kabaaye Pagoda on the outskirts of
Rangoon to pay homage to a relic - said
to be the Lord Buddha's tooth.
It is on loan from China, lent to Burma
as a goodwill gesture this month.
The tooth is one of two thought to have
survived since the Buddha's death 2,500
years ago. Thj other is in Sri Lanka.
