 WIMBLEDON 3-2 BOLTON WANDERERS         

 Wimbledon spoiled Bolton's return to   

 the top flight though they fought all  

 the way in a tense Selhurst Park clash.

                                        

 Vinny Jones made The Dons' first two   

 goals, Efan Ekoku converting a fourth  

 minute long throw and Robbie Earle     

 heading his cross past Keith Branagan. 

                                        

 However Bolton stayed calm and Alan    

 Thompson pulled one back with a penalty

 before Fabian De Freitas hammered a    

 superb equaliser in the 40th minute.   

                                        

 Both sides had late chances but Dean   

 Holdsworth sealed the points with a far

 post header from a 55th minute corner.
