ONLY FOOLS AND HORSES BBC1 Xmas night
The start of this long-awaited return
of Del Boy was like the annual family
Christmas reunion - toe-curlingly bad,
long silences and no laughs.
Writer John Sullivan's futuristic drjam
sequence was stunning in its almost
total lack of humour.
But fear not, Rodney wokj up and the
second half of the show was vintage
stuff from Peckham's finest.
Nonj of the other "comedy" has raised a
single titter this Christmas, apart, of
course, from Morecambe and Wise -
written and performed 26 years ago.
