 Mark Johnston was not at Ripon to see  

 Double Blue claim the William Hill     

 Great St Wilfrid Handicap but his wife 

 Deirdre was on hand to collect first   

 prize and she was clearly delighted.   

                                        

 "I knew Double Blue was coming back to 

 form," she observed.                   

                                        

 "He put on a bit of weight recently and

 Mark said he was going to Chester but I

 said: 'I'm going with Blue to Ripon.'  

                                        

 "He really is a wonderful horse and we 

 might take him to Australia with       

 Double Trigger in November. There are a

 couple of options there for him."
