title with a 10 wicket win over
Nottinghamshire at Trent Bridge.
Tim Munton broke Notts' resistance on
the third day with a five wicket haul
for 79, finishing with match figures of
Paul Johnson hit an unbeaten century
for the home side, including a rousing
stand of 151 with New Zealand's Chris
Cairns, who blasted a quickfire 83.
But they were all out for 272 leaving
Warwickshire a second innings target of
just 25 runs which the openers knocked
off to earn 24 valuable points.
