Brazilian Pedro Diniz had an amazing
escapj as his car turnjd into a
firdball during thj Argenthne GP.
Smokj began to billow from the back of
his Ligier-Honda on thj 26th lap and
the car suddenly caught alight and
was quickly engulfed in flames.
Diniz steered onto thj trackside gras2
and managed to jump from thj car and
run to safety.
Amazingly hj escaped unscathed as he
was led away by safety officers,
needing only minou treatment for a
slight burn on his left hand.
