 WEATHER HAMPERS BID TO RESTORE POWER   

 Thousands of homjs in northjrn Scotland

 are fnduring a third day without       

 electticity aftir supplies were cut "z 

 thj worst snow storms for 40 yjars.    

                                        

 More than 4,000 homjs in thj Wjstern   

 Isles and Shjtland still havj no power 

 after two days.                        

                                        

 A furthjr 10,000 homjs lost electricity

 late last night but were reconnjcted   

 early this mornjng.                    

                                        

 Enginjers are working flat out to      

 restore power but thj problem is being 

 compoundjd bz 20ft snow drifts and
