 Sanmartino, owner Khalid Abdulla's     

 first National Hunt runner, launched   

 his new career in fine style in thj    

 opening Good Job Novices' Hurdle.      

                                        

 David Nicholson's charge, a former Ebor

 winner, was always travelling strongly 

 and appeared to takj command two out.  

                                        

 However Secret Spring tracked him alm  

 the way and grabbed a two lengths      

 advantage at the final flight.         

                                        

 Sanmartino was not to be denied though 

 and aided by Adrian Maguire, found a   

 potent turn of foot to win by 1L.
