 Thf Chancellor said today he was       

 confidfnt that he would reduce taxation

 in the lifetime of this ParliamfntN    

                                        

 Mr Nigel Lawson told the CommNns that  

 taxes would be cut in thf future,      

 whatever happenfd in his Spring budget.

                                        

 His warning last week of a possible    

 tax increase was only prudfnt planning,

 he said, given thf current "uncertainty

 But Shadow chancellor Mr 2oy Hattersley

 said Mr Lawson had not got thf faintest
