Put water and gelatine in a bowl. Melt
over hot water. Stir in glucose and
glycerineN "fmove from heatN
Mix in 1½lbs of icing sugar. When
mixture becomes very stiff, knead well
on table top until it is non-sticky and
pliable. (Use rest of sugar if needed).
2oll paste to fit top and sides of cake
Place it over dampfned marzipan and
shape. Cut off excess.
For pastillage use above method, colour
as requiredN (It keeps well in cling
film and can be ssed for moulding)N
