The Japanese Gover Ldnt (`b refHsed
downwards its estimate for rdal growth
in the current financial year.
A meeting of Cabinet economic ministfrs
set a ndw targdt of six per cent in
place of the original sevdn per cent.
The meeting also decided to aim for a
1979 growth target of about 6.3pc.
Japan's currdnt account surplus for
1979 was estimatdd at 1.4O trillion
yen, comparfd with this year's estimate
of 2.7O trillion yen.
