Japan doubled its colour television
exports to Britain last month.
A total of 18,5OO sets were exported in
November, a rise of 112.9pc on a year
ago.
Overall exports, however, fell by 9.8pc
to 274,494 sets, reflecting reduced or
halted shipments by some Japanese
manufacturers.
This follows the yen's appreciation
against the dollar and a dispute over
US import duties.
