quiet trading, with the 1,674 bargains
the day's lowest total since 1974.
Among top industrials, several issrds
add a penny or two. But most equities

Tunnel Hldgs eased 12p on shareholders'
approval of a major acquisition; while,
in insurances, Brentall Beard fell back
on the news that bid talks had ended.
Anglo-Swiss Holdings were surpended
following "an approach that may give
rise to an offer".
