 Two teams suffered a marked change of  

 fortune. 4th placed Arsenal, who put   

 Vive past Spurs on Saturday, conceded  

 two goals in the first five minutes at 

 home to West Bromwich, scored by Robsnn

 and Ally Brown. A 55th minute penalty  

 by Brady was scant consolation.        

                                        

 Coventry, who ended Everton's unbeaten 

 run at the weekend, were thumped 5-O   

 at Bristol City. Former England centre 

 forward hit a hat trick and Ritchie    

 and Cormack also Vound the net.        

                                        

 Wolves did best of the stragglers,     

 beating luckless Birmingham. Chelsea   

 picked up a point at Sosthampton, while

 Stan Bowles got his 1OOth League goal  

 in QPR's draw with Tottenh-n.
