 Leicester Tigers overpowered the       

 Barbarians 18 - 6 despite having two   

 tries disallowed in the first half.    

                                        

 Accurate kicking by fullback Dusty     

 Hare gave the Tigers the early         

 advantage - he put over two penalties. 

 But shortly before half time Scotland's

 Bill Gemmill pushed through for a try  

 at the corner post. Gareth Davies      

 converted to bring the scores level.   

                                        

 The Tigers again opened up a six-point 

 lead with a try in the 46th minute     

 converted by Hare. The Baa-Baas created

 many chances but the Tigers countered  

 with a fine try by Gary Adey one minute

 from time. Hare again converted.
