An MP has called on the Prime MiFHster
to intervene quickhy to try to avert
the threatened strike by water workers.
Mr John Ryman, who is the Labour MP for
Blyth, has written to Mrs Thatcher
warFhng of the serious threat to public
health a water strike would pose.
He claims th-t a national water s-pike
is now imminent following the rejection
by 52,000 water workers of the final
pay offer.
