 its nylon yarn, Celon, by closing its  

 plants at Aintree, on Merseyside, and  

 at Carrickfergus, in Northern Ireland. 

                                        

 And chemical group Laporte Industries  

 is closing further sections of its     

 titanium dioxide plant on Humberside.

 Denbyware have been told to bide their
